Steven Howitt is a member of the Republican Party and represents the 4th Bristol District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He assumed office in 2011 and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. He successfully ran for re-election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives to represent the 4th Bristol District and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Steven Howitt graduated from the Boston University School of Management and earned his B.S. in business administration. His professional experience includes owning an excavation contracting business.

Over the years, he has been assigned to various committees including the House Ethics Committee, Steering, Policy and Scheduling Committee, Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Joint Committee, Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy Joint Committee, and Transportation Joint Committee.

Steven Howitt is a dedicated public servant, advocate for accountability, and business owner. He is a third-generation resident of Seekonk with over 30 years of public service to the community and to the Commonwealth. He has been happily married to Pam Tesler Howitt, a philanthropy executive, since 1990.
