Michelle Badger is a dedicated public servant who has made significant contributions to her community and the state of Massachusetts. She is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 1st Plymouth District. Michelle assumed office on January 1, 2025, and her current term ends on January 6, 2027. Michelle’s educational background includes a high school diploma from Plymouth South High School, a bachelor’s degree from Sweet Briar College in 2006, and a graduate degree from Suffolk University in 2010. In the 2024 general election, Michelle ran for the Massachusetts House of Representatives to represent the 1st Plymouth District. She emerged victorious, defeating her opponent Jesse Brown with 52.2% of the vote. Her win in the Democratic primary was equally impressive, as she secured 42.1% of the vote against three other candidates.
Throughout her tenure, Michelle has been an active legislator, sponsoring and co-sponsoring numerous bills aimed at improving the lives of her constituents. Some of her notable legislative efforts include advocating for equitable funding for non-regional school districts with high transportation costs, supporting veterans’ organizations, and working to improve public health and safety standards in communities around aging nuclear power plants.
