Biography

Meghan Kilcoyne, also known as Meg, is a member of the Democratic Party and represents the 12th Worcester District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. She assumed office on January 3, 2021, succeeding Harold Naughton Jr.

Meghan was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Sterling. She attended Houghton Elementary School and Chocksett Middle School, and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. She furthered her education at Stonehill College, earning a B.A. in History.

Meghan first won election in 2020, defeating Republican Susan E. Smiley and succeeding fellow Democrat Harold Naughton Jr., who she had worked for since 2012. She is the first woman elected to the 12th Worcester district. In 2022, Meghan won reelection over Republican Michael Vulcano, securing 60 percent of the general election vote.

Meghan has over a decade of advocacy and legislative experience, and she has spent her lifetime living in and getting to know the communities in the 12th Worcester District.
