Biography

Donald Berthiaume Jr., also known as Donnie, is a member of the Republican Party and serves as a representative in the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the 5th Worcester District. He assumed office on January 7, 2015, and his current term is set to end on January 1, 2025.

Berthiaume has been re-elected multiple times, with his most recent victory coming in the general election held on November 8, 2022. Before his political career, Berthiaume was a selectman in Spencer, Massachusetts.

Over the years, he has been assigned to various committees, including the House Global Warming and Climate Change Committee, House Ways and Means Committee, Cannabis Policy Joint Committee, Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities Joint Committee, Mental Health, Substance Use and Recovery Joint Committee, and Ways and Means Joint Committee.

In addition to his political career, Berthiaume is also the owner of Brennick Design, a position he has held since 1996. He served in the United States Navy from 1984 to 1990.

On a personal note, Berthiaume is a graduate of David Prouty High School (1984) and is married to Wendy. They have two children, Nicholas and Brent.
