Biography

WOODMAN (WOODY) PAGE of Newport, Orleans County, Republican, was born and raised in Newport. He attended North Country Union High School and continued his education at Norwich University. Upon graduation from Norwich, he received a commission in the United States Air Force. He retired from the USAF as a major and continued to work for the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. After nearly 28 years of military and government service, he and his wife Anne returned home to Newport in 2010. He holds a master’s degree in Management from Lesley College. He served for nine years on the Newport Planning and Historic Preservation Commissions, is a member of the Military Officers Association of America, The Newport American Legion Post 21, and The Rotary Club of Newport and is a Presbyterian Church Elder and Deacon. In his off time, he enjoys golf, fishing, curling, and time spent with his wife at the family’s camp at Walden’s Coles Pond. Elected to the Vermont State House of Representatives in 2019, House Committee on Health Care 2019-2022 and currently serves on the Appropriations Committee.
