David ‘Wes’ Wesley Climer is a State Senator from Rock Hill, SC. Born on September 26th, 1982, in Charlotte, NC, he has been an active member of the Republican party. Since 2016, Climer has diligently served his constituents in the South Carolina Senate, where he chairs the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. His commitment to public service extends beyond politics; he is also an Eagle Scout.

Senator Climer resides in Rock Hill and shares his life with his wife, Martie Behrens, and their five children: Jack, Monroe, Betsy, Henry, and Michael. His educational journey led him to Furman University, where he earned his B.A. in 2006.
