Biography

Venicia Considine is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Nevada State Assembly, representing District 18. She assumed office on November 4, 2020, and her current term ends on November 6, 2024. She is a member of the Democratic Party and is running for re-election to continue representing District 18.

Born in Flushing, Queens, in New York, New York, Venicia has called Las Vegas home for 30 years. She was the first person in her family to graduate from college, earning her Bachelor’s and a law degree from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 1997, 2002, and 2008, respectively.

Venicia has a rich career experience that includes working as an attorney and director of development. As an attorney with Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, she has defended individuals and families against unlawful foreclosures, predatory lenders, and fraud. She has seen first hand the work that can be done to provide economic stability and security for hardworking Nevada families.

In her tenure as an Assembly member, Venicia has been assigned to several committees including the Judiciary Committee, Natural Resources Committee, and Revenue Committee. She has sponsored numerous legislations, showcasing her commitment to her constituents and the state of Nevada.

Venicia lives in Las Vegas with her husband, Kenn, and their dog, Nina. Their daughter, Sydny, graduated from CCSD and Las Vegas’ Rainbow Youth Theatre. Venicia’s dedication to her community and her passion for justice make her a valued member of the Nevada State Assembly.
