Biography

Valli Geiger is an American politician, nurse, and sustainable design expert. She was born on the Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois and graduated from Niagara University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She also earned a master’s degree in sustainable design from the Boston Architectural College and studied public administration and public health at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She worked as a nurse, a clinical director of Federally Qualified Health Centers, a director of Health Reach’s hospice program, and a health policy analyst. She served on the Rockland City Council and as the mayor of Rockland, Maine. She was elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2020, representing District 93. She was re-elected in 2022, representing District 42. She is married to Greg Marley, the director of suicide prevention at the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and has one son. She is a spiritual humanist and a member of the Democratic Party.
