State Sen. Tyler Johnson assumed office in 2022 after being elected to represent Hoosiers in Senate District 14. Dr. Johnson’s district encompasses portions of Allen and DeKalb counties.
Dr. Johnson actively participates in various Senate Committees, including Education and Career Development; Elections; Family and Children Services; and Health and Provider Services.
A proud graduate of Leo High School and the University of Saint Francis, Dr. Johnson returned to his hometown after completing medical school to serve as an emergency room physician in Northeast Indiana.
In addition to his medical profession, Dr. Johnson has been deeply involved in the community. He has served as the director of emergency medicine, chief of staff, and as a member of the board of directors for Parkview Hospital in DeKalb. Dr. Johnson represents emergency physicians in Indiana by collaborating with hospitals and legislators to enhance patient safety and improve access to care.
Residing in Leo with his wife, Alicia, Dr. Johnson is a loving parent to their four children.
