Biography

Trish Ranson is currently serving in her third term at the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Prior to running for office in 2018, Representative Ranson taught elementary music for 15 years at Westwood Elementary in Stillwater and served as a conductor with the OSU Youth Choir.

As a legislator, she combines her knowledge, expertise, passion and compassion to improving public education while also advocating for the deeply interconnected issues of improved healthcare, food security, criminal justice, and equal opportunity.

Representative Ranson serves on multiple committees in the House. For the 59th session, these include Full Appropriations and Budget, Public Health, Agriculture, and Higher Education and Career Tech.

Through her service on these committees and her involvement in the House as Democratic Caucus Chair, Representative Ranson will continue to expand her knowledge to address issues and find solutions that benefit all Oklahomans.
