Biography

Trey Steimel is an American politician who has been serving as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives since January 9, 2023. He represents Arkansas’ 2nd House district.

Steimel was elected on November 8, 2022, in the 2022 Arkansas House of Representatives election against Libertarian opponent Teresa Norman. He assumed office the next day on January 9, 2023.

Steimel graduated from Pocahontas High School and University of Central Arkansas. He is a Catholic.

Before his political career, Steimel was a Shelter Affiliate Agent in Pocahontas and a real estate investor focused on expanding housing in the local community. In addition to building and managing two successful real estate companies in Northeast Arkansas, Steimel has over 15 years of retail management experience.

Steimel is a member of the Republican Party. His tenure in the Arkansas House of Representatives began in 2023 and his current term ends on January 13, 2025. Steimel is running for re-election to the Arkansas House of Representatives to represent District 2. The Republican primary for this office on March 5, 2024, was canceled.
