Biography

FRANCIS “TOPPER” MCFAUN of Barre Town, Washington County, Republican, was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and became a resident of present town in 1967. Retired after 38 years of employment with VT State Government. He was educated at St. Peters Elementary School, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Rindge Technical High School, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts, BS, education, 1963; and took graduate courses at Boston College, Boston, Massachusetts; Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts; and University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont. He is married to Mary and they have two daughters and one son. Current memberships and affiliations: Past President, Board Member; Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation and Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice. Member of the House: 2005-2006, 2007-2008, 2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016, 2017-2018, 2019-present.
