Tony Sorrentino is a member of the Republican Party serving in the Nebraska State Senate, representing District 39. He assumed office on January 8, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 3, 2029.

Born on July 26, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska, Tony Sorrentino has deep roots in his community. He graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 1972 and pursued higher education at Creighton University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1976. He later attended Creighton University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1981. His academic journey laid the foundation for a career marked by dedication and service.

Before entering politics, Sorrentino built a successful career as an attorney and served as a practice leader at the Silverstone Group. His professional expertise and leadership skills earned him recognition in various circles. Beyond his professional life, he has been an active member of his community, serving on the Board of Trustees at Doane University since 2016.

Sorrentino’s decision to run for the Nebraska State Senate was driven by his commitment to addressing the needs of his constituents in District 39. In the 2024 general election, he emerged victorious, defeating his opponent Allison Heimes.
