Biography

Tom Ploszaj is a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Belknap 1. He assumed office on December 2, 2020, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024. He ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Belknap 1 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Tom Ploszaj was born in Terryville, Connecticut. He earned an associate degree from WSTC-UConn in 1990. His career experience includes working as an emergency medical technician, in analytic research science, in agriculture and animal husbandry, and with General Motors and Crompton Corp.

Ploszaj has served with the Civil Air Patrol, Lions Club, Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Winsted Volunteer Ambulance, Town of Grafton Volunteer Ambulance, and Town of Grafton Volunteer Fire Department. He has also been involved in local government, serving as a Town of Grafton Cemetery Trustee and a member of the Town of Grafton Volunteer Fire Department.

In the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Ploszaj was assigned to the Science, Technology and Energy Committee for the 2023-2024 term. He has sponsored several pieces of legislation, although the details of these bills are not available.

Ploszaj is retired and has over 15 years as a foundry and machining Union Member, 17 years as an analytical scientist with a Chemical Engineering degree, and an Emergency Medical Technician volunteer of 42 years in EMS as a first responder with 40 years as an EMT.
