Biography

Representative Thomas F. “Tom” Hartnett, Jr. is a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 110 in Charleston County. Born on February 11, 1971, in Charleston, he is the son of Tommy and Bonnie Hartnett. Tom graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.A. in 2009. He is a certified general real estate appraiser and resides in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Alison Dillon, and their three children: Thomas, Rhett, and Nicholas.

In addition to his legislative duties, Tom has been actively involved in community organizations. He has served as a board member for the Mt. Pleasant Cotillion and was formerly on the board of the Wakeup Carolina organization. Tom is also a member of the Hibernian Society and attends Christ Anglican Church.
