Biography

Todd Nielsen represents the Rutland-9 District, which includes the towns of Brandon and Forestdale. A resident of Brandon since 2010, Todd moved to Vermont from Westhampton, New York. He has been married to his wife, Aida, for 28 years, and together they have raised two sons. Todd’s professional background is rooted in the construction industry, where he spent most of his career. His hands-on experience in construction allowed him to successfully renovate his homes in both Westhampton, NY, and Brandon, VT. In recent years, Todd has worked as a security guard. This role has provided him with valuable insight into working with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Todd is also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Berlin Brigade. His military service has instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and commitment to his community.
