Terry Everett (born February 15, 1937) is a former American politician who represented Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, he served eight consecutive terms in Congress, holding office from January 5, 1993, until January 3, 2009. During this period, he was a key part of Alabama’s congressional delegation and participated in national legislative affairs over the course of sixteen years.

Everett’s tenure as a U.S. Representative for Alabama’s 2nd District spanned a time of significant political change at both the state and federal levels. As a Republican representing Alabama, he contributed to his party’s presence in the region and helped shape policy debates in the House of Representatives throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
