Terri O’Rorke is a Democratic representative serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives for Cheshire District 7. She assumed office on December 4, 2024, and her current term is set to end on December 2, 2026.
Terri O’Rorke has been a resident of New Hampshire for over three decades, with the majority of her time spent in the town of Richmond before moving to Keene. During her years in Richmond, she actively participated in local governance, serving as deputy town clerk and holding two terms as Trustee of the Trust Funds. Her dedication to community engagement extended to volunteering during elections, where she assisted in tasks such as checking in voters and counting ballots.
Beyond her political career, O’Rorke is a retired hairdresser with a passion for quilting and reading. She has contributed significantly to her community through the “America Reads” program, helping first graders develop their reading and spelling skills. Her creative pursuits include authoring three books and regularly contributing articles to a blog. Additionally, she was a founder of Richmond’s monthly newsletter, “The Richmond Rooster,” and continues to contribute to it.
O’Rorke is also a proud mother of two daughters and a grandmother to six grandchildren. Her commitment to public service and her community is evident in her extensive involvement in both local government and volunteer initiatives. In the New Hampshire House of Representatives, she serves on the Fish and Game and Marine Resources Committee, where she focuses on conservation and the preservation of the state’s natural resources. Her diverse experiences and dedication make her a valued member of the legislative body.
