Sylvia Allen serves as a Republican Representative for District 7 in the Arizona state legislature.
Sylvia Allen was appointed to the Arizona House of Representatives by the Navajo County Board of Supervisors on April 29, 2026, filling the District 7 seat left vacant when Representative David Marshall resigned to become Navajo County Recorder. She previously served in the Arizona Senate from 2008 to 2012 and again from 2015 to 2021, where she served as President Pro Tempore and chaired the Senate Education Committee. Before joining the Legislature, she served as a Navajo County Supervisor. Allen was born in Phoenix and lives in Snowflake, where she graduated from Snowflake High School. She has worked as a small business owner and real estate agent and co-founded the George Washington Academy charter school. She is married to Richard Allen, and they have five children.
