Steven Harvey Schiff (born March 18, 1947) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New Mexico. He represented New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District as a U.S. Representative, serving five terms in Congress from January 3, 1989, until March 25, 1998. During this period, he served as a historical member of Congress identified by the bioguide ID S000125.

Schiff’s tenure in the House spanned the late 1980s and most of the 1990s, a time of significant national and international change. As a Republican representing New Mexico’s 1st District, he participated in the legislative work of the U.S. Congress over nearly a decade. He left office on March 25, 1998, concluding his service as a representative for New Mexico.
