Steven R. Rothman (born October 14, 1952) is a former Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives who represented New Jersey’s 9th congressional district. He served eight terms in Congress, holding office from January 7, 1997, until January 3, 2013. During this period, he was a member of the U.S. House as a representative from the state of New Jersey.

Rothman’s congressional career spanned sixteen years, during which he consistently served as a Democratic representative for the 9th district.
