District

Rep. Steve Frisbie was elected to represent the people of Michigan’s 44th State House District in 2024.

The district encompasses Battle Creek, Springfield, Bedford Township, Pennfield Township, Convis Township, Lee Township, Clarence Township, Sheridan Township, and Albion.

Education

The representative earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Miller College and received his paramedic certificate from Davenport University. He also participated in general studies at Kellogg Community College.

Professional and Public Office Affiliations

Before being elected to office, Rep. Frisbie spent 40 years as a paramedic and ambulance service administrator, in addition to serving as a volunteer firefighter for Pennfield Township and the village of Colon. He also served as an adjunct professor at Kellogg Community College for 23 years.

For 13 years prior to his election to the House, he served as a Calhoun County Commissioner, including as chairman from 2019-2023.

He has also served as a member and leader of many community organizations, including the Pennfield Exchange Club, the Pennfield Schools Educational Foundation, the Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch Authority Governing Board of Directors, Miles for memories, and various youth sports teams.

Personal

Steve and his wife Lorene live in Pennfield Township. They have four adult children.
