Biography

Representative Stephen Wood of Sabattus is currently in his fifth, non-consecutive term in the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 30, which includes the towns of Green and Sabattus. Steve plays an active role on the 131st Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

With a distinguished twenty-year service in the United States Navy as an Aviation Hydraulic Technician from 1981-2001, Rep. Wood brings a wealth of experience. He is the owner and operator of J&S Guide Service in his hometown of Sabattus. Beyond his professional pursuits, Steve serves his community as a Free Mason at the Webster Lodge and as a member of the American Legion. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Maine Professional Guides Association.

Steve and his wife, Jean, are proud parents to three children: Steve, Sarah, and Nicole. In his leisure time, Rep. Wood indulges in outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and boating.
