Stan Clouse is a Republican serving in the Nebraska State Senate, representing District 37. He assumed office on January 8, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 3, 2029.

Born on December 4, 1956, in North Platte, Nebraska, Stan Clouse has had a long and distinguished career in public service. Before joining the Nebraska State Senate, he served as the mayor of Kearney from 2006 to 2024, where he played a pivotal role in the city’s development and governance. His leadership extended to various community organizations, including the Kearney Noon Rotary Club, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Economic Development Council of Buffalo County.

Clouse’s educational background includes graduating from Brady Public Schools in 1975 and earning an associate degree from Mid-Plains Community College in 1996. His commitment to education and community development is evident through his involvement with the University of Nebraska Medical Center Nursing Advisory Council and the League of Nebraska Municipalities Legislative Committee.

Throughout his career, Clouse has been recognized for his contributions to the community. He has received numerous awards, including the Cope Cornerstone of Excellence Award from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and the Service to Mankind Award from the Kearney Sertoma Club.
