Shannon Lundgren is an American politician who is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives. She represents the 65th district and assumed office on January 1, 2023. Her current term ends on January 1, 2025.
Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Lundgren graduated from Wahlert Catholic High School. She earned an associate degree in travel and hospitality from the Midwest Travel and Hospitality Institute. Lundgren’s career experience includes owning Lone Palm Travel Co. and Trackside Bar & Grill and working as the residence director of the Dubuque Retirement Community, the general manager of the Dubuque County Fair Association, and a sales manager with Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort.
She has been affiliated with the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce, the Dyersville Chamber of Commerce, and the Dubuque County Farm Bureau. Lundgren’s career started in the travel industry. From 1996 to 2001, Lundgren was a sales manager of Eagle Ridge Inn and Resort. Since 2006, Lundgren is the co-owner of Trackside Bar & Grill. Lundgren is a member of the Iowa Republican Party.
In 2018, Lundgren’s political career began when she won the election to become a Representative in the Iowa State House of Representative. Lundgren represents district 57. Lundgren’s husband is Charlie. They have two children. Lundgrens and her family resides in Peosta, Iowa.
Lundgren was assigned to the following committees: House Commerce Committee, Chair Environmental Protection Committee House Human Resources Committee House State Government Committee House Ways and Means Committee Health Policy Oversight Committee.
