Shannon Francis, born on April 19, 1959, is an American politician who has been serving in the Kansas House of Representatives from the 125th district since 2015. He was born and currently resides in Liberal, Kansas.

Francis is a member of the Republican Party. He ran for re-election to the Kansas House of Representatives to represent District 125 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in marketing and finance at Kansas State University and his associate degree at Seward County Community College and Area Technical School.

Francis’ professional experience includes serving as president of the Village at the Plaza and managing partner of Evans Francis Farms Limited Liability Company. He also served as president of the Kansas Association of Counties, the chair of Seward County Community College Development Foundation’s scholarship drive, a member of the Liberal Rotary Club, and a member of the Noon Lions Club.

In his political career, Francis has held several key positions. He served as the Kansas House of Representatives Chairman of the Transportation and Public Safety Budget Committee from January 15, 2019, to the present. He has also been assigned to the Appropriations Committee and the Taxation Committee.

Francis has made significant contributions to his community and the state of Kansas through his dedicated service and leadership.
