Rep. Shad Pearce is serving his first term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 40, which includes portions of Independence, Cleburne, and White Counties.
For the 94th General Assembly, Rep. Pearce is the House Vice Chair for the House Rules Committee. Rep. Pearce also serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee.
Rep. Pearce is retired. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Arkansas State University.
He enjoys going to church, spending time with family, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Rep. Pearce resides in Batesville with his wife, Tammy. They have two adult children, Taylor Cothern and Tye.
