Sean Durkin is a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Coos District 1. He assumed office on January 31, 2024, following a special election, and his current term is set to end on December 2, 2026.
Born and raised in Londonderry, New Hampshire, Sean Durkin attended Trinity High School in Manchester, where he excelled as a varsity football player and represented the state in the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl. Over the past four decades, he has built a successful career as a custom home builder, earning nationwide recognition for his innovative projects. His work has taken him across the East Coast, but his heart remains firmly rooted in New Hampshire.
Outside of his professional life, Durkin is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hiking, fishing, skiing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. He also enjoys off-roading in his Bronco, bow hunting, and participating in 3-D archery competitions. A dedicated member of his community, he serves on the Planning Board and regularly attends Selectman meetings across Coos District 1. He is also an active member of the House Fish and Game and Marine Resources Committee, where he contributes to the conservation and preservation of the state’s natural resources.
Durkin resides in Lancaster, New Hampshire, with his wife and their beloved Rottweilers. His commitment to his constituents and his love for the outdoors reflect his deep connection to the region he represents.
