Sean M. Bennett, born on May 13, 1968, is an American politician affiliated with the Republican party. He has been serving as a member of the South Carolina Senate from the 38th District since 2012. In addition to his legislative role, Senator Bennett chairs the Senate Ethics Committee and is a member of the Senate Labor, Commerce, and Industry, as well as Transportation Committees.

Beyond politics, Sean Bennett has made significant contributions to his community. He has been a driving force in making Summerville, Dorchester County, and District 38 better places to live. As a South Carolina Army National Guard veteran, he brings a strong commitment to service. Sean was also the past president of the Summerville Rotary Club.

He resides in Summerville with his wife of 30 years, Tina, and they have two daughters: Haile, a graduate of Winthrop University working in healthcare, and Hayden Grace, a student at Abraham Baldwin College. Sean is also a proud grandfather to one grandson.
