Scott Moore is an American politician originally from Mission, South Dakota. He grew up in Kennebec and is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. After graduating from Lyman High School, he earned a scholarship to play basketball at Northern State University, where he majored in education.

Moore’s commitment to public service led him to run for office. In January 2023, he assumed his role as a New Member Representative for District 23, which includes counties such as Brown, Campbell, Edmunds, Faulk, Hand, McPherson, Potter, and Walworth. His professional background includes serving as the Manager/CEO of FEM Electric Association.

As a legislator, Moore advocates for policies that promote economic growth, education, and community development. He believes in fostering collaboration across party lines to address the needs of South Dakota residents effectively.

Outside of politics, Moore enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the natural beauty of South Dakota, and staying active in his community. His dedication to public service continues to make a positive impact on the state.
