Career:

Scott DeLano is an American politician who has been serving in the Mississippi State Senate from the 50th district since 2020. Before his tenure in the State Senate, he served in the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 117th district from 2009 to 2020.

In the State Senate, he currently chairs the Senate Technology Committee. He has also served on several other committees including the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senate Education Committee, Environmental Protection, Conservation and Water Resources Committee, Senate Gaming Committee, Highways and Transportation Committee, Senate Insurance Committee, Ports and Marine Resources Committee, and Veterans and Military Affairs Committee.

In addition to his political career, Scott DeLano is a Commercial Real Estate Developer.

Scott DeLano was born on September 20, 1971, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He has two children, Matthew and Emily. He is of the Presbyterian faith.
