Biography

Sally Cluchey is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 52 in the Maine House of Representatives. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024.

She lives in Bowdoinham, Maine. Cluchey earned a B.A. in classics and classical languages, literatures, and linguistics from Kenyon College in 2001 and an M.S. in biomedical science and regulatory compliance from Hood College in 2008.

Her career experience includes founding AskEveryone and working as the director of organizational development of MPX and RxAnte, Inc., a senior research associate with The Brookings Institution, and an organizational consultant. Cluchey has served as the chairperson of the Bowdoinham Food Pantry and on the supervisory committee of the Infinity Federal Credit Union.

In the 2023-2024 term, Cluchey was assigned to the Health Coverage, Insurance and Financial Services Committee and the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022, defeating Peter Lewis.

Before her current role, she worked in vaccine development for the U.S. military, drug development and science and health policy for the National Academy of Sciences and the Brookings Institution, and in organizational development for a venture-backed health technology startup company. She also owns a consulting business that helps organizations operationalize employee feedback.

She lives in Bowdoinham with her husband, Jeremy, children Rose and Fred, and their two adopted shelter dogs, Daisy and Sheldon.
