Biography

Robert Bezotte, a seasoned law enforcement professional, brings a wealth of experience to his role. Retired as Livingston County Sheriff after 33 years of dedicated service within the county, he also served as a commissioner for four years. As a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam, Bezotte continues his commitment to the well-being of veterans by currently serving as the vice chair of the county’s Veterans Affairs Board of Directors.

Beyond his service in the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, Bezotte took on a leadership role in Scottdale, Arizona, as the director of security for Domino’s Pizza for a decade. In this capacity, he was responsible for the security of 1,800 employees across 95 stores, primarily in Arizona. Bezotte furthered his education at Eastern Michigan University and completed the FBI National Academy at the University of Virginia.

In his personal life, Rep. Bezotte celebrates 50 years of marriage with his wife, Sheila. They are proud parents of three daughters and grandparents to eight grandchildren. His dedication to public service and community welfare, both in law enforcement and beyond, reflects a lifelong commitment to making a positive impact.
