Biography

Robby Robbins, an American Republican from South Carolina, has been serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for the 97th district since 2022. Born on May 5, 1962, in Charleston, South Carolina, Robbins earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and a law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1984 and 1987, respectively. His career journey includes owning Robert Robbins LLC and practicing law as an attorney with the Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes law firm.

Robby, a native of St. George, South Carolina, was the Valedictorian of the Dorchester Academy class of 1980. After graduating from law school, he returned to his hometown to begin his legal practice. He resides in Summerville and is married to Mary Bryce, with whom he has two children, Robert Bryce and Lena Ruth. In 2004, he served as a solicitor in the First Judicial Circuit.
