Rich DeLong is a member of the Nevada State Assembly, representing District 26. He assumed office on November 9, 2022, and his current term ends on November 6, 2024. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Rich was born in Los Angeles, California. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from California State University at Chico and master’s degrees in geology and resource management from the University of Idaho. His career experience includes working as a geologist and environmental consultant.
Rich started as an exploration geologist over 40 years ago. He managed operations for a company involved in natural resources development projects and continues to work in that field today. He has been affiliated with the American Exploration & Mining Association, the Geological Society of Nevada, and the Mining & Metallurgical Society of America.
In addition to his professional career, Rich is also active in politics. He declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on June 11, 2024. He is running for re-election to the Nevada State Assembly to represent District 26.
