Biography

Paul Anderson is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 12A in the Minnesota House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 3, 2023, and his current term ends on January 7, 2025.

Anderson ran for re-election to the Minnesota House of Representatives to represent District 12A and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

He earned a B.A. from the University of Minnesota at Morris in 1974. Anderson’s career experience includes owning Anderson Farms and working as a farmer.

In terms of committee assignments, Anderson has been assigned to several committees over the years. For the 2023-2024 term, he was assigned to the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee, Sustainable Infrastructure Policy Committee, and Property Tax Division Committee.

In the past, he has served on the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, Legacy Finance Committee, Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee, and others.

Anderson has also served as a Pope County commissioner, a member of the Starbuck school board, and as a Starbuck Township officer. He is a fourth-generation farmer and has worked in both electronic and print media.

He is married to Faith and they have three children. They reside in Starbuck, Minnesota, where Anderson also works as a farmer.
