Patricia H. Williams is a dedicated public servant representing District 98 in the Florida House of Representatives. She is a member of the Democratic Party and has been serving in this role since 2016.
Born on October 23 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Patricia has a strong connection to her home state. She currently resides in Pompano Beach, Florida. Her religious affiliation is Baptist.
Patricia is a retired Early Learning Director, demonstrating her commitment to education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix.
In her personal life, Patricia is a mother to six children: Jay, Jaleesa, Ronia, Katherine, Maxwell, and Nicki. She is also a proud grandmother to Kimani, Jenna, and Jordyn.
In terms of legislative service, Patricia has held the Leadership Role as the Democratic Deputy Whip and has been assigned to several committees. These include the Education & Employment Committee, where she serves as the Democratic Ranking Member, the PreK-12 Appropriations Subcommittee, the Appropriations Committee, the Rules Committee, the Select Committee on Health Innovation, and the Children, Families & Seniors Subcommittee.
Before her election to the Florida House of Representatives, Patricia served as a Commissioner for the City of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida from 2008 to 2016.
In her free time, Patricia enjoys contributing to her community through her recreational interest, Caring for Kids, Inc.
