Biography

PATRICIA A. McCOY – of Poultney, Rutland, County, Republican, was born in Connecticut. She has been a resident of Poultney since 1979. She is married to Matthew A. McCoy and they have three daughters, two sons-in-law and five grandsons. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in Environmental Resource Management. Pattie was elected Town Clerk and Treasurer of Poultney, serving her community for twenty-six years, retiring in 2017 to concentrate on her State Representative position. In 2021 the Vermont Municipal Clerk’s and Treasurer’s Association bestowed upon Pattie Honorary Membership in their organization. She served on the Poultney Development Review Board and the Poultney Planning Commission. She is a 2018 CSG Henry Toll Fellow, a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Poultney Rotary (Past President), Poultney Woman’s Club (Steering Committee) and American Legion Auxiliary Member Post #39. Pattie served as House Assistant Minority Leader (2017-2018) and since 2019, serves as the House Minority Leader. Member of the House of Representatives: 2015 – present.
