James Michael Neese (born October 22, 1969) is an American politician serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from the 44th district since 2023. He is affiliated with the Republican Party and represents the northernmost part of Lancaster County, which includes suburbs of the Charlotte metropolitan area. Neese’s professional background includes serving as the President and CEO of the Greater Indian Land Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Indian Land, South Carolina, and is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where he earned both a B.S. and a B.A. degree. Neese is married to Christine L., and they have two children: Della G. and Clara M. He is also an Eagle Scout and has been actively involved in community organizations such as the Indian Land Rotary and the Lancaster County 2040 Comprehensive Plan Stakeholder Committee.
