State Sen. Mike Gaskill has been serving as a senator since his election in 2018. Representing the newly drawn Senate District 25, his jurisdiction includes Madison County and portions of Hamilton County.
Within the Senate, Gaskill holds the role of ranking member for the Senate Committees on Environmental Affairs and Insurance and Financial Institutions. Additionally, he is an active member of the Senate Committees on Judiciary and Tax and Fiscal Policy.
Gaskill is a proud graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and computer science from Anderson University. His professional journey includes owning and operating an insurance and financial services business in Anderson since 1993. Before entering the insurance industry, Gaskill worked as a computer programmer, accountant, and later the systems manager for Praxair Surface Technologies.
Actively engaged in his community, Gaskill is a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson. He and his wife, Kelly, have made their home in Pendleton, where they are actively involved in raising their three children and enjoying the company of their seven grandchildren.
