Mike Cheokas is an American politician from Georgia. He was born on May 27, 1953, in Americus, Georgia, United States. He is a member of the Republican Party.

Education: Cheokas earned a degree from Emory University and Pierce College.

Political Career: Cheokas is a member of the Georgia House of Representatives. He was first elected in 2004 and served until losing reelection in 2016 to Democrat Bill McGowan. McGowan did not seek a second term in 2018, but Cheokas ran again and won, defeating Bardin Hooks.

Constituency: He has represented several districts during his tenure. He represented the 134th District from 2005 to 2013, the 138th District from 2013 to 2017, and again from 2019 to 2023. Currently, he is representing the 151st District since 2023.

Party Affiliation: Cheokas was initially a member of the Democratic Party but switched his party affiliation to Republican in 2010. He stated that his fiscally conservative voting record reflects the views of his constituents, which ultimately led him to join the House Republican Caucus.

Personal Life: Cheokas is married to Gaynor Cheokas and they have three children. They reside in Americus, Georgia.
