Biography

Michael Tagliavia grew up on the rural east end of Long Island. As a young man he was a landscaper, carpenter, Grumman Aircraft Systems airframe mechanic, and seasonal police officer. As an adult, his work ethic, management skills, customer service abilities, and fiscal responsibility ensured the success of his two pool service businesses. Mike also has a CDL-A license, which he used when he assisted the Town of Washington’s road crew with their flood recovery effort. He has been Vice Chair for the Town of Corinth Republicans, Committee Man at the State level, attended the 2024 RNC as a First Alternate Delegate, ran for Vermont Attorney General in 2022, and was a member of the Budget Committee in the Town of Corinth this past year. Mike lives in Corinth with his wife on a beautiful piece of land in an off-grid cabin. He is an avid hunter and enjoys all things outdoors. He is a current member of Chelsea Fish & Game, Ducks Unlimited, NWTF, and a life member of the NRA. Mike is very passionate about, and is a staunch steward of, his land and the wildlife that also call it home. He is also a co-host on “Right Side Up”, a weekly radio show and podcast. Mike brings his passion and life experience, along with his dedication to his constituents, with him to the Legislature in hopes of making a real difference. He is a member of the House Committee on Environment, Canvasing Committee, and Sportsman Caucus.
