Biography

Michael Moffett is an American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He currently serves as a representative for the Merrimack 4th district of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024.

Moffett graduated from Groveton High School in 1973. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and reached the rank of lieutenant colonel. He also earned a graduate degree in education.

In addition to his political career, Moffett’s career experience includes working as a professor at New Hampshire Technical Institute, an author, and a columnist. He has also served in various capacities such as a town moderator and a school board member.

Moffett ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Merrimack 4. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022. During his tenure, Moffett has been assigned to several committees, including the State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs Committee, where he served as Chair in 2023-2024, and the House Education Committee.

Moffett’s dedication to public service and his diverse career experiences make him a valuable member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
