Biography

Representative Michael Davis, a Republican, represents Jackson, Cass and Bates Counties (District 56) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2020.

Prior to his legislative duties, Davis worked for Americans for Prosperity as a grassroots engagement director for the Kansas City area. He also served as a before and after-school care educator in the Blue Valley School District.

Davis grew up in Maryland Heights and graduated from the Parkway School District in 2012. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in education from Harris Stowe State University in 2015. Davis furthered his education at Washburn University School of Law, obtaining his juris doctorate in 2018. During law school, Davis served as president of the Washburn Law chapter of the Federalist Society.

Davis currently resides in Kansas City.
