Biography

Mark Spreitzer was sworn in as the State Senator for the 15th Senate District on January 3, 2023. He serves as the Senate Democratic Caucus Vice-Chair and is also the Chair of the Wisconsin Legislative LGBTQ+ Caucus. Prior to his current role, Mark served four terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2015 to 2023. He has been an active member of the community, having previously served on the Beloit City Council and worked in the Alumni Office at Beloit College. Mark lives in Beloit with his husband, Philip, their cat Otis, and their backyard chickens. When he’s not busy with legislative work, he enjoys camping, hiking, cooking, baking, and spending time with family, including their young nieces and nephews.
