Mark Shirey is an American politician who has served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives since November 8, 2022. He represents Alabama’s 100th House district.1
Born in DeKalb County, Alabama, Shirey is a member of the Republican Party. He is married to Mary and they have a daughter named Kate. The family resides in Mobile, Alabama.
Shirey has a rich educational background. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the University of Alabama Birmingham, and later pursued a Doctorate in Optometry at Southern College of Optometry.
Before his political career, Shirey was a successful optometrist. He co-operated an optometry practice and worked as an optometrist for many years.
