Lucius Jeremiah Gartrell (born January 7, 1821) was a Democratic politician who represented the state of Georgia in the United States House of Representatives in the mid-nineteenth century. Serving as a member of Congress from Georgia’s 4th District, he held office as a Representative from December 7, 1857, to March 3, 1861. During this period, he was affiliated with the Democratic Party and was part of Georgia’s congressional delegation in the years immediately preceding the American Civil War.
