Biography

Louise Andrus is a dedicated and experienced public servant who currently serves as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Merrimack 5. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024.

Born and raised in Wilmot, New Hampshire, Louise spent many years residing in Andover with her husband Ted and their three children. They later relocated to Salisbury, where Louise and Ted continue to reside today. She graduated from the former Andover High School located in Andover, NH.

Louise’s career is marked by a diverse range of administrative positions in both the private and government sectors. Upon graduation, she began working as an Administrative Assistant for the Director of Admissions at Proctor Academy in Andover. After leaving Proctor Academy, she held various administrative positions that have allowed her to have a unique and diverse background. Some of her roles include Secretary at the former Alan K. Thompson Insurance Agency in East Andover, Administrative Assistant to the Director of Nurses at Merrimack County Nursing Home, Administrative Assistant to the NH Board of Professional Engineers, Medical Transcriber at NH Hospital, and Administrative Assistant at Truly Natural Marketing in Sutton, NH for about 20 years.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Louise is deeply committed to her family and values the time they spend together. Her interests include gardening, music, tap dancing, hiking, and reading. She holds personal values of honesty, strong work ethic, accountability, perseverance, and integrity.

Louise has also been actively involved in local government. She has dedicated her time to attend school board meetings in her school district for the past nine years and has gained an extensive working knowledge of the school systems, the budget, and financing.

Louise is a staunch defender of the New Hampshire Constitution and U.S. Constitution. She represents the towns of Andover, Danbury, Hill, Salisbury, and Webster.
