Biography

Llew Jones is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 18 in the Montana House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 7, 2019, and his current term ends on January 6, 2025. Jones ran for re-election to the Montana House of Representatives to represent District 18 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Before his current tenure, Jones served in the Montana State Senate, representing District 9 from 2011 to 2019. He was unable to run for re-election in 2018 to the Montana State Senate because of term limits. Jones also previously served in the Montana House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, during which time he served as the Republican Whip.

Jones earned his M.S. in economics from Montana State University in 1988. His professional experience includes working as a partner at Frontline Agriculture in 2006. He was also the owner of several companies including Pure Bliss Cycles, Pondera RV Park, Jathco Systems, and Jones Ranch.

Throughout his political career, Jones has been assigned to various committees. In the 2023-2024 legislative session, he served as the Chair of the Appropriations Committee.
