Linda Trujillo is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the New Mexico State Senate. She represents District 24, having assumed office on January 1, 2025. Her current term is set to conclude on December 31, 2028.
Linda Trujillo has a rich background in public service and education. She earned her associate degree in early childhood education from Green River Community College, followed by a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Evergreen State College. She later pursued a Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law, equipping her with a strong foundation in legal and administrative matters.
Before her tenure in the State Senate, Trujillo served in the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 48 from 2017 to 2020. Her time in the House was marked by her dedication to education and labor issues, as she served on committees such as the House Education Committee and the Labor, Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee. Her professional experience extends beyond politics; she has worked as an attorney, a teacher for Head Start, and a program manager for AmeriCorps. Additionally, she held a deputy position at the State Records Center and Archives and contributed to ACCION New Mexico, showcasing her commitment to community development and public service.
Trujillo’s journey in public office reflects her passion for advocating for her constituents and addressing critical issues such as education, labor rights, and economic development.
